Kutch Carnival – A Grand Opening of Rann Utsav

Rann Utsav is the festival when tourists can experience the Kutch district at its colorful and exotic best. This festival is held during the month of November to February. This traditional extravaganza of music, dance and culture is held every year in the white Rann of Kutch.

Every year, during the Rann Utsav, a grand Kutch Carnival held at the bank of the historic Harmirsar Lake at Bhuj city. In this colorful program of Kutch Carnival, a number of artist groups comes from various states of India and takes part. Tourists all around the world come here to enjoy the carnival. At the time of the carnival, Bhuj city wears a spectacular view with the beautiful fireworks and attractive laser show. Different artist groups make tableaus on the show depicting the culture of Kutch, Gujarat and India.

This carnival is the result of farsighted approach of ex-chief minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi. Rann Utsav 2015-2016
