Rann of Kutch is famous for the festival “Rann Utsav” all over the world. This festival is celebrated once in a year at white desert of Kutch. The white desert is located near dhordo village. This year also Rann Utsav is going to be celebrated from 9th November 2015 to 23rd February 2016.
Kutch Rann Utsav is the extravaganza of Folk dance, traditional music, and culture of Kutch. This district is also famous for its various cultural and traditional shopping activities of authentic handicraft items, bandhani sarees and traditional ornaments. In the full moon light, the beauty of white desert is enhanced and this experience is unexplainable. Tourists says it is a great feeling to witness full moon standing on the white sands.
